Rotterdam Terminals
Container shipping – Euromax Terminal
The Euromax Terminal is Rotterdam's most important and one of its largest container terminals as a container hub. Thanks to excellent barge links and cutting-edge facilities, Euromax offers a smooth transfer from the world's biggest ocean ships to efficient inland waterway transport. The direct connection allows cargo to be transported quickly and sustainably into the depths of Europe's hinterland.
Euromax is an ideal example of sustainability-compatible innovation and efficiency. Its seamless blend of seaborne and inland transport maintains a safer and climate-responsible supply chain, which is in line with the philosophy that guides SDG Inland.
Bulk cargo – Europe Bulk Services (EBS)
For dry bulk cargo and bulk liquids, Europe Bulk Services is Rotterdam's leading terminal. Not the largest, perhaps, but most adaptable. EBS handles a big range of bulk cargo types and backs this with superb inland waterway facilities. Strategically located in the center of the Rotterdam Port, it boasts ideal accessibility to other modes of transport, which ensures balanced and efficient logistic flow.
With the implementation of EBS, companies are benefited through a terminal that focuses on safe operation, flexibility and sustainable connections in Europe's transport chain.
Duisburg Terminals
Container transport – Duisburg Gateway Terminal (DGT)
The Duisburg Gateway Terminal is the next generation in innovative and sustainable logistics. The most sustainable terminal in Duisburg, it is currently progressing to expand its capacity to 1 million TEU from 850,000 per year by 2026–2027. Driven by hydrogen, solar power, fuel cells and battery storage, DGT is leading the way to climate-neutral logistics in Europe. Its direct train connection to China through the Silk Road enhances its global importance beyond inland waterways.
DGT represents the SDG Inland vision for more intelligent, safer and more sustainable transport – an innovative solution for effective supply chains for business.
Bulk freight – Duisburg Bulk Terminal (DBT)
The Duisburg Bulk Terminal is extremely agile, with the capacity to deal with more than 100 different types of cargo. Owned by leading operators in the Port of Duisburg, DBT is intensely embedded in the regional logistics chain and boasts firm multimodal connections.
Its safety and security commitment and flexibility make DBT a good bet for firms that want to maximize supply chain performance while assisting in the creation of a good transport tomorrow.
